<p>Upper Kabete Environmental Forum went to Kibwezi Field Station on 15<sup>th</sup> Nov 2013 carrying medicinal seedlings that they planted along the river banks. The Forum had other students’ organization which has the same passion such as Runway Environmentalists, Upper Kabete Rover Scouts and One Health organization. The four organization worked together to ensures that global warming is been reduced through tree planting conservation measures has been fully achieved. There were 78 students who went for the Kibwezi tree planting event.</p>

<p>Upper Kabete Environmental Forum (UKEF) was established in 2012 after its has received the certificate of registration. It had 18 members who were students with passion for the environment from the two faculties that is Faculty of Agriculture and Faculty Veterinary. UKEF was been assisted by our current Dean of Faculty of Agriculture Prof. R.N. Kinuthia who was the chairman of LARMAT Department. UKEF has its Patron Dr. F. Ayuke who has dedicated his time for the consultation where necessary to ensures that the Forum is running successful.  The Forum has its own slogan that is “GREEN POWER” this means that the society to establish the sustainable environment that protect global warming through conservation practices.</p>
<p>The FORUM has been working together with the Runway Environmentalists which was started by the former Miss Kabete who later became the former Miss University of Nairobi Ms. Bernice Mugambi. UKEF has  now 50 members from the two faculties who have passion to conserve our nature. The Forum is involved in various activities that relate to environmental issues which support its vision to be the leading organization in creating awareness pertaining environmental conservation and cleanliness. The main activities that UKEF is highly involved in are the cleanup, tree planting, workshops, seminars and conferences that advocate the environmental challenges. Upper Kabete Enivornmental Forum has its mission and vision which is stipulated within its constitution.</p>
<p><b>MISSION OF UKEF: </b>The Forum shall be CONSERVING THE BIODIVERSITY FOR SUSTAINABILTY OF MANKIND</p>
<p><b>VISION OF UKEF: </b>To be the LEADING ORGANIZATION IN CREATING AWARENESS PERTAINING ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION AND CLEANLINESS ALL OVER THE COUNTRY.</p>
