NUMA AGM held on march 5th 2014 at the the synoptic lab.
This was a splendid day for NUMA members who turned out in mammoths to attend the AGM. To learn of the ending academic years accomplishments by the out going executive and vote in a new executive of their choice.who will spearhead the association in to the next academic year.
Several guest from the department were invited and most notably those in attendance were Senior Prof.Mutua,Dr.Opere the head of department and Mr. Lukorito. The outgoing executive members took the floor simultaneously addressing the members present and giving a report of their performance and wish well the incoming team.Prof. Mutua took the opportunity to do what he does best ,inspire.his talk on ATTITUDE got each and everyone thinking what type of people they are; the pessimist or the optimist.
Eventually it was the climax of the show where various aspirants for various positions took the platform and spoke of their aspirations for NUMA and hopefully convince the electorate they were the best suited to chase the high flying bar and lift it even higher.The new team was elected into office awaiting their official inauguration.Dr.Opere toke the chance to thank the out going executive and commended them for a job well done.He also assured the incoming team of the department’s continued support ,reminding them his door was ajar for consultations and guidance.
Members thanked the out going team for the services rendered selfishly and urged the incoming team to follow suit if not do better.Members were treated to refreshments that was followed by a photo session and the meeting was closed with a word of prayer.We wish the in coming NUMA executive well,God’s guidance ,success and prosperity as they take the wheel to steer the association into new horizons.God bless Nairobi University Meteorological Association.
