FIRST YEARS(2014) REPRESENTATIVE

FIRST YEARS QUEUEING TO VOTEThe ONUSS electoral commission would like to gladly announce the result of the election of the first years’ representative held on 31st January, 2014 outside the Agric lab in Chiromo campus.

The polling station was opened at 8.00am and closed at 5.00pm. Two candidates were duly nominated to contest in the election.

These are:

  • ABUOR JACOB-I09/1248/2013
  • MUNGA JULIUS MWANGI-I09/1450/2014

They were all first year students in college of biological and physical sciences. The first candidate named above proved to the electoral commission through a deferment letter that he had deferred his studies to the academic year 2014 and that he was a bonafide first year student.

The total votes cast was 154 votes, there were no spoilt votes.

  • ABUOR JACOB garnered 126 votes
  • MUNGA JULIUS MWANGI garnered 29 votes

As per the result above, ABUOR JACOB was declared the winner by the college registrar in the election.

The election was very free, fair and very peaceful and Julius Mwangi conceded defeat.

The ONUSS electoral commission wants to thank the CBPS fraternity for their participation in the exercise.
